Installation of the TW90/30 Cable Boxes PDF Print E-mail

In an opening without cables in a solid wall

Before the box is installed the opening verges (of the wall or ceiling) should be dampted and freed from dust so that a permanent connection is warranted.
A bed of mortar is applied to the wall depth and the box inserted in the opening. The remaining gaps should be completely filled-in with mortar.

In a leight weight wall

The process is the same for light-weight walls. The only difference is that plaster is used, of course, instead of mortar. Once the plaster is daubed in the opening, a steel angle frame is screwed down on the wall. This frame guarantees higher stability against mechanical loads during the configuration phase. It is not of importance for fire sealing. As an alternative it could also be made of plasterboard. The frame is not necessary for F90 standard light weight walls, in accordance with DIN 4102-4.
In other F90 walls a frame made of fire resisting plates has to be installed.

Installation time
Depending on the conditions and the configurability of the box the installation time is around 20 minutes.
