In an opening in a wall with or without cables

Before the box is installed the opening verges should be dampted and freed from dust so that a permanent connection is warranted. Then the box can be put into the opening and dowelled at all four edges on the downside. Then the opening above the box is plastered or grouted up completely. The surface must be plain and one level with the box´s feet. It may not be combustible.

In or under the Ceiling

Up to now this system is only approved for cables laid on the floor. It is not, yet, possible to use it for cables laid under ceilings or in walls, in accordance with an approval.

Not necessarily in the Middle

As the boxes are 27cm deep they can stick out on both sides of a thin wall or ceiling. After that the opening is daubed with mortar and the box can be embedded in the opening. The gaps remaining are filled up with mortar. It can also be installed flushed or asymmetrically, but may not stick out more than 8.5cm at one side. Consequently, the wall would have to be at least 18.5cm thick for a flushed installation.

In Double Floors or poured in Cast Plaster Floors

Subsurface channels passing through fire cuts also have to be sealed against fire. The problem is that the channels are no more configurable in the future when using conventional sealing systems. The solution for this problem is our UFK cable box. The box is placed between two channels where they are divided by walls. Then it is sealed towards the channel and poured in with it. The smoke stop is warranted on the output side of the channels by our EasyFoam stoppers. Although we have made and passed several fire tests successfully we have not achieved an approval by the DIBt up to now. A special approval is, therefore necessary which can be forwarded by us in individual cases.
