Sealing with Cable Boxes PDF Print E-mail

One main difference to other systems is that cable boxes are delivered pre-cast. Consequently a number of assembly errors is barred right from the beginning.

Reduction of Complexity

The complex of mounting instructions is reduced to a minimum from planning to implementation. Neither distances between cables, nor edge distances have to be observed. Cables do not have to be coated and no special materials, e.g. fire stopping lute, are required for maintenance. Overstuffing is impossible because the opening of the cable box makes up at the utmost 60% of the buck opening and thus can be filled completely.

Reliability of Installation

With cable boxes many problems are barred right from the beginning.
Especially laying new cables has become much easier. The only thing to do is to cut a little hole into the smoke gas apron and put it through. Then it can be sealed with any conventional sealing material like silicone, for example. New layings of cables never have any effect on the box itself. Mounting instructions for new layings of cables are indicated on each quality label for cable boxes. Hence, every electrician is capable of maintaining the box himself. As we are always prepared to answer your questions, there is a phone number on the label, too.

Functionality

Should the electrician forget the smoke gas sealing, there is still another guarantee of functionality which is another aspect that makes our system incomparable with others: Conventional fire stops only contain one material that seals against fire. Cable boxes made of high temperature insulating bricks are quite a good example as, in fact, the box only consists of a framework of fire sealing sheets which cannot foam. Unlike these cable boxes ours have two sealings working seperately, one against smoke and one against fire.

On the one hand our cable boxes consist of fire sealing packages that start foaming at 100C° and seal the opening safely that way. The smoke sealing is guaranteed by EasyFoam stoppers. Just like any other box it would not be sealed against cold smoke without these stoppers. In case of fire the packages foam as a result of the high temperature and definitely seal against fire and smoke.

One problem with the boxes made of high temperature insulating bricks is that they might contain too little sealing material. This is barred with our cable boxes. Their opening face is always in the right proportion to the size of the packages.
